Maplr was born out of a desire to enable Techs from all over the world to experience life abroad simply and serenely.

Marion is a developer, Maxime is a business engineer.
And together, they wanted to live an experience.
They decided to live the expatriation in Canada, Maxime's childhood country and Marion's country of heart.
At the age of 30, they sold everything, left friends and family to go to the other side of the world, to Canada in winter, at -30 degrees.
During their expatriation, they realized the shortage of tech talent in Canada and the difficulties of starting a new life elsewhere.
They see the opportunity to help others to live their great adventure and Quebec companies to benefit from the best tech talents.
The whole world is looking for tech.
Marion and Maxime already know how to find them, by thinking human first.

Transparent and fair compensation
We are in essence "Open Source": transparency and fairness are part of our values. This is why they are reflected in our model, our working methods and our culture.
The total compensation is composed of a fixed part and a bonus called "Welcome Pack".
The fixed salary is determined in an equitable manner based on our Maplr compensation chart shared with our members.
The fixed salary is automatically increased every year, so there is no need to negotiate.
A "Welcome Pack" is also available for each of our members to help them settle in Canada.
Our model allows us to restore a fairer balance between members of the same community.
